Starting August 12th, Nintendo will be lowering the price of the Nintendo 3DS from $249.99 to $169.99. This $80 price drop will not be met with disdain from current owners of the 3DS, however, as Nintendo has promised to release 20 free games to the early Nintendo 3DS adopters in a move they call the “Ambassador Program”.
